Visual art education provides experiences that encourage students to:

create art and reflect upon what they have made reflect upon art created by others (including their peers)

seek and construct meaning through encounters with art
-
create narratives about art work
-
understand the cultural and historical contexts of works of art
-
discover the significance and value of art in their lives.
Throughout the year, we will be exploring the artwork of several different artists, cultures and time periods. We will study and reflect upon the diverse artwork.
We will use existing artistic masterpieces to inspire our own creations.
